If you ask anyone who knew Curt the first thing that comes to mind when they think of him, chances are they'll say his smile or his laugh. He always had a way of making you laugh when laughing was the last thing you thought you could do.
Mission
The mission of the Curt Orlowski Memorial is to honor the life and legacy of Curt Orlowski by sharing his story and the remarkable achievements he made during his 18 years with us. We are dedicated to educating the public on the serious consequences of drunk, drugged, and distracted driving. By highlighting Curt’s accomplishments and the positive impact he made on those around him, we hope to raise awareness and inspire lasting change in our communities.As part of our outreach, we proudly participate in events such as the Northwood University International Auto Show. At these events, we provide interactive educational experiences, including driving adult-sized pedal cars through a designated course while wearing impairment goggles. This hands-on activity offers participants a safe and impactful demonstration of the dangers associated with impaired driving.

Northwood Auto Show
September 20, 2025. We had a booth at the country's largest outdoor auto show. We set up a 2-lane course for attendees to drive the cars with impairment googles.
Raisin Township Open House
Open house that allows the community to meet staff of the police and fire. Attendees can drive the pedal cars with the impairment googles.
Addison High School
We spoke to high school students about Curt, and they were able to drive the pedal cars with impairment googles.
Trunk or Treat
We set up a table and pass out candy to the children in costumes.
The pedal cars and impairment google are there for attendees to try as well.

We have been speaking for over 9 years. Sharing the true impacts of drunk, drugged and distracted driving.
The Curt Orlowski Memorial has provided nearly $50,000 in scholarships and community outreach thanks to your continued support. We are a federal approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
